ASSIGNMENT 3-1

Summary: The Cold podcast is about the murder of Susan Powell, and how everyone believes that Josh Powell is the murder. Josh is Susan's husband. We see that after they arrested him and we see that everyone believes its him, he becomes paranoid. We later learn that he then kills himself and his 2 kids, believing they all belong together in heaven. This case happened in 2012 which is now considered cold, so the records become public, and the KSL group begins to uncover what actually happened. They begin on a journey to solve the murder themselves. So, they go through the life of Josh Powell and we get to see how his experiences changed him. We get to see the trauma that the family had as well as his sisters and mothers abuse by him and his father. We see how it was hard for him to connect with girls, and make any meaningful relationships. The KSL group takes us through Josh's journal and how he thinks of the world and others. He chased after many girls but continued to get rejected. He only every had 2 serious relationships, which we learn is Susan Cox, and Katherine. We hear Katherine for the first time explain how he was in a relationship. She didn't speak on the matter before. It's engaging and it's a crazy story on how a women died, and who's body still hasn't been found.

Review: They are very consistent they have posted every Wednesday since November 13th, 2018. They sound quality is perfect, and if there is any background noise its intentional. You can hear the main host Dave Crawley very clearly. His tone and how he presents the story is intriguing. Every piece of information he talks about is intentional, and are needed for the story. It's nice to listen to something without the unnecessary information. He brings in guest and videos that really help and support the story. The guests he brings on have never told their part of the story and bring a new view to it as well. The host knows everything there is to know about the case, he puts the pieces together perfectly and doesn't mess up. The titles of each episode go right along with what that episode is about. The first episode is called "To All The Girls I've Loved Before", the reason for this is we get to talk about all the girls josh has liked and been rejected by and maybe why it set him up tp have bad relationships with women. It's a compelling and engaging podcast, and I would recommend it.

Summary: This podcast goes through ways that you can get burnt out on a job. They go through the causes of a burnout like working to many hours, working at a job you hate, having a bad boss, not enough sleep, etc... Not only do they talk about what to look for but they also talk about how to deal with them. For example taking time off for friends, family, and sleep; getting engaged in activities that help you relax, and getting some help. Why do you care or want to learn about a burnout, well a job burnout is a special type of work related stress, that create physical and emotional stress, and involves a sense of reduced accomplishment and loss of personal identity. As we start to get older and most of us are getting jobs, its important that we are aware of burnouts, so that we keep are physical and mental state healthy. She talks about how being busy isn't the end goal, but to have better time management, and having really good career alignment, and not to b busy, because being bust leads to burnout.

Review: In the past this podcast is very consistent posting every 7 days restarting the 7 days when beginning a new month. In the resent weeks though it has not followed the same structure, for example no podcasts were posted for the months of December and January, because the one post in the last week of January. The sound quality is good, there's no background noise, I can hear clearly everything she is saying. The host Stephanie has a very engaging and calming voice. She keeps at a good pace, but doesn't go to fast where you can understand what she's saying. She doesn't have a guest but she keeps its engaging by changing the subtopic, and everything flowing very easily. She knows what she's talking about, she's done her research, and she'd used these methods herself. Her episode topics are exactly what her podcasts are about, it's nice to not be mislead by the episode title.
